How the effect is built
The tool reduces each video frame, compresses the tonal range into fewer steps, and remaps it toward a dark matcha green. Green strength controls the color shift. Detail loss controls how much structure is discarded. Brightness compensates for dark footage.
Export runs in real time because the browser records the processed Canvas while the source video plays. A one-minute source therefore takes about one minute to export. Current Chrome or Edge on desktop gives the most reliable result.
